Hamburg Islamic Center to publish German translation of Nahj-ul-Balaghah

TEHRAN, July 21 (MNA) -- The Hamburg Islamic Center is soon to publish a German translation of the Nahj-ul-Balaghah of Imam Ali (AS).

 

The book contains an introduction for German readers providing useful background information. The translation took five years to complete.

 

“Behind That Snowy Hill” wins best doc award at Estonia filmfest

 

TEHRAN -- Iranian documentary “Behind That Snowy Hill”, directed by Ramtin Lavvafipur, won the best art documentary prize at the Parnu International Documentary and Anthropology Film Festival in Estonia. The event was held from July 8 to 29.

 

“Behind That Snowy Hill” describes the mysterious life of an old woman alone in an abandoned village.

 

Screenplay “Melika” under publication

 

TEHRAN -- The screenplay “Melika” written by Ali Mo’azzeni is being published by Amir Kabir Publications.

 

The play narrates the biography of Melika, mother of the twelfth Imam, Hazrat Mahdi (AS). It also reviews such issues as dialogue between civilizations and the relationship between Islam and Christianity.

 

Seven short films enter Italy’s Religion Today Festival

 

TEHRAN -- Seven short films by filmmakers from the Iranian Young Cinema Society (IYCS) have been entered in the 10th Religion Today Film Festival in Trento, Italy, scheduled to take place in October.

 

“Maybe, Somewhere Else” by Davud Jalili, “Man and God” by Mohammad-Jafar Baqerinia, “Imamzadeh Kia Sultan” by Ala Mohseni, and “Barefoot Till Morning” by Qasem Ansari are among the entries.
